You're pretending you deserve what you have.

People would rather feel rich rather than actually get rich.

People would rather feel like they worked hard and earned their keep rather than actually do the kinds of hard work needed.

We'd rather face the pain we know rather than struggle to a better destination.

We'd rather pay the price of familiarity rather than the small cost of change.

Are people attacking you? How?

When someone attacks the process instead of the substance of an argument, you know you are in the right, or at least more right than the attacker.

Next level - when someone attacks instead of holds their position, it means you're probably on the correct path.

Next level again - when the attacker asks all the questions, difficult questions which may or may not be related. Questions are powerful, they control the situation. The more words the defender has to say against these kind of attacking questions, the more guilty the defender seem.

Good to Bad Shifting Scale

To have a high you need to have lows,  how do you know how high or low is if there is no point of difference...  Try having 3 cups of water,  cold,  room temp warm, hot.  If I dip my hand into the cold first,  the middle feels warm,  if I dip my hand into hot the middle then feels cool...  Oh relativity...  A blessing and a curse, you can make good things bad and bad good,  make good things great and bad things catastrophic it all just depends on how you look at it and relative to.
Nothing is ever just good or bad.
